THE FILM

Twende Berlin

Ukooflani and their character Upendo Hero arrive in Berlin with music, performance and questions about public art. Their encounters with artists and communities turn the trip into a conversation about gentrification, privatisation and cultural memory.

The film looks at the place of artists in changing neighbourhoods and at connections between urban life in Kenya and Germany.

Directed by Farasi Flani / Cultural Video Foundation. Adrian Storey: Director of Photography and Camera.
